This is coming up from the lake on the single track from Rattlesnake beach area.... instead of taking gopher snake trail, this is the trail that comes out directly across from RH creek trail. OK, don't look for these names on any trail map, these are just names us "regulars" have developed to indentify areas. Rattlesnake Beach is simply where Jazz got bit by the rattlesnake.
(EBRPD - Del Valle)
California coastal deer..... not hunted in this area, in these parks, are not as skittish as their cousin the White Tail deer of the East Coast..... even though Jazz looks like a coyote, this deer just stands and watches us pass. Mem Day Weekend DV
EBRP - Del Valle. Entering RH creek trail from the top of the hill, two trees appear to embrace in a contest of wills, it would seem, as to who holds the rights of passage on this part of the path. Appearances often conceal reality, for in fact, these trees stand apart about 20 feet, and only vantage point creates the illusion of embrace. So it is in life, no?
