Feather Falls, Lake Oroville, CA
Feather Falls, Lake Oroville, CA.
Trail - to the right of the railing is a sheer drop-off of about 400 feet. If the railing hadn't been there, neither would I have been there :)
At the falls, this trail reminded me of fairyland. It's the trail that goes to the very top of the falls - no railing. There is only a short distance where there is a steep drop off, right where the sunlight is on the left..... but I just couldn't bring myself to walk past it.
This is my favorite.
On the way home.... this is somewhere between Oroville and Marysville... the red flowers on the tree caught my eye.
On Lumpkin Road.... this was a hoot. There's a "miner" guy in there two. The owner came out and pointed out: 3 little iron pigs on the lawn, a dinosaur, and a huge praying mantis.... all cobbed up metal sculptures.... I loved it.
Sutter Buttes in Background. That's actually a rice field mid foreground.
Field of rice.... it always amazed me when I moved to California to discover rice being grown here.
Stopped in Old Sac on the way home..... love the t-shirt!
Lodi, just before Phillips Vineyard, which, sadly, was closed by the time I passed through there. Love this wine.....
North Flynne Road, Livermore.... almost home!
Back in Livermore...Bales of hay on Patterson Pass/Greenville corner.
