Hi, maybe you have run into me on the trails. Maybe I gave you a calendar at one time; maybe I gave you the URL in an email; maybe you discovered my photos through a search engine. Whatever your reason for being here, "Welcome" and thanks for stopping by. I hope some of what I see and experience in the natural world is shared by you, evokes in you a sense of awe, majesty, and beauty that I so frequently experience in the outdoors.

MISHAPS: Yes, I have fallen in the creek with my camera, jumped in the lake forgetting my cell phone was in my pocket; forgotten to bring the extra battery, but otherwise, nothing major other than ticks, dog got rattlesnake bit, and the nasty, but ubiquitous, foxtail hazard to pets.

ABOUT ME: I'm a hobbyist doing what I love, creating memories of beautiful places. I was a Philosophy / Psychology major which didn't help me in the career path much, but did help me navigate life's trials with a modicum of sanity..

WHERE I LIVE:
I am on the road traveling. "Professional guest" is a term that comes to mind. When the recession hit, lost the job, sold my place, and now it seems like I am living the life of a nomad or gypsy trying to find soil to root in, but doing so on rocky terrain. Not much unlike the trees I see growing in harsh mountain rocks. "Where", or better "How" do they root themselves there and find sustenance. They struggle for their existence, and compete for it, as do I.

LIFE's BIGGEST LESSONS: Can be summed up nicely in any Dr. Seuss book :)
